Piedras Blancas RapStudents at Grover Heights Elementary School on California's central coast have long supported the restoration of the Piedras Blancas Light Station. Their "Pennies for Piedras" campaign has so far raised $4,000 toward the restoration of the 132-year-old lighthouse near San Simeon administered by the Bureau of Land Management. So it was fitting that a student performance was a highlight of a recent event celebrating the lighthouse and surrounding historical area as "Piedras Blancas Light Station Outstanding Natural Area."
