Earth Day 2008 ExhibitBLM-California's Eagle Lake Field Office and the Lassen National Forest will again jointly sponsor an exhibit at the Susanville Indian Rancheria community's Earth Day celebration this Friday and Saturday (April 25-26, 2008). The display focuses on "night life" on the public lands and forest -- fun things like skunks, mountain lions and bats. (See BLM-California's News.bytes, issue 328 for a Wildlife Trivia Question about skunks.) (text continues below)
Kids will learn more from Lisa Sedlecek, a recreation planner from the Lassen National Forest. Also, BLM's Eagle Lake Field Office botanist Carolyn Gibbs and her weed warriors will staff a noxious weed information booth and hand out weed prevention information. Both exhibits were popular last year.
