A tour earlier this year covered sites on the west side of the monument. The BLM is preparing a Resource Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement for the monument. A meeting of the advisory committee is planned for early next year to discuss preliminary alternatives, including a preliminary preferred alternative. - Dave Christy, 11/07 BLM California News.bytes, issue 306
