Advisory Council visits Fort Ord, plans future discussionsMembers of the BLM Central California Advisory Council at their meeting Friday and Saturday in Marina made plans to further explore issues with off-highway vehicle use. Council members in attendance agreed to hold a field trip in February or March to the Clear Creek Management Area to see the area and discuss off-highway vehicle use there and at other locations. The council formed an OHV subgroup at its meeting in May and the subgroup recently held an informal organizational meeting. Following a tour of Fort Ord, council members discussed plans for development and habitat management at the former military installation.
