Mustang ambassador reaches out to a wider audience

In an effort to reach out to a broader audience, BLM California's Wild Horse and Burro program sponsored a booth at the Country in the Park concert in Elverta Sunday.

Jason Williams, BLM compliance specialist, introduced concert-goers to a real-live mustang, his horse, Stinger. He provided information on coming adoptions, facility adoptions and the WHB program in general.

The open-air event featured performances by Gary Allan, Sawyer Brown, and three former American Idol contestants, Kellie Pickler, Bucky Covington and Carmen Rasmusen.
