Colene Gearman

Colene Gearman began her HR career while working for the National Park Service as an HR assistant. Colene grew up in Texas but says her career with NPS and BLM has provided her the opportunity to live in many beautiful places.
She has worked in such diverse work places such as Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky, Saguaro National Monument (now National Park) and the Grand Canyon in Arizona, and the Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. She left the Park Service in 2002 to work for the BLM in Alaska. In 2004 she transferred to the BLM Arizona State Office. In 2007, she went to the BLM's Eastern States Office, before coming to California in August 2008. She has been with the government for a total of 26 years.
As supervisory human resources specialist, she oversees the classification and staffing branch.
Colene lives in Roseville and has two grown sons, a granddaughter and grandson. Outside the workplace she has many interests. She enjoys golfing, biking, snowmobiling, quilting and reading.
