This map depicts the boundaries of the Tunawee Common Allotment.  The eastern boundary borders China Lake Naval Air Weapons Station.  The northern boundary is shared with the Lacey-Cactus-McCloud Allotment and the Olancha Common Allotment in an area below Haiwee Reservoir.  The western boundary  is basically along the crest of the Sierra Nevada Mountains except in the northwest  corner where the Sequoia National Forest comes down to the valley floor.  The southern boundary borders on the Walker Pass Common Allotment south of Little Lake.  The allotment is comprised of about 55,900 acres and is about 12 miles north to south and 8 miles east to west.  The allotment is split into eastern and western sides by U.S. Highway 395.  The Sacatar Trail Wilderness on the western side extends from the foothill s to the crest of the Sierras and comprises about a third of the allotment area.
