Ridgecrest Field Office

This map depicts the Hansen Common Allotment boundary which is managed by the Ridgecrest, California BLM office. The northern boundary parallels Jawbone Canyon until Jawbone Canyon turns south and ends in the hills within the allotment. The western boundary runs through mountainous terrain and is marked by Cache Peak. The southern boundary runs parallel to U.S. Route 58. The southeast boundary is a sawtooth pattern derived from the checkerboard pattern of land ownership. The southeast boundary runs parallel to U.S. Highway 14 as it comes from Mojave, California which is 10-12 miles to the southwest. The Hansen Common Allotment is comprised of over 72,000 acres and most of the allotment contains rugged mountainous terrain.
