COSO – Hay Ranch Water Pipeline Project

The EA assesses the potential impacts to resources caused as a result of the Proposed Action. The Proposed Action includes the pumping of up to 4,500 gallons-of-water-per-minute from two existing water wells and the installation of a power substation, a 12” water pipeline and a 250,000 gallon water holding tank on about 5 acres of private land, and the installation of approximately 9 miles of a 20” water pipeline and the emplacement of a 1.5 million gallon water holding tank across both BLM and Department of the Navy administered lands adjacent to Gill Station Road, terminating on the Navy withdrawn land near the 1.5 million gallon tank at the COSO Geothermal field.
