Volunteer Program

Trinity River Clean up Day
September 29, 2007

Volunteer by filling out the Volunteer Application (1114-10) and E-mail to wkuntz@ca.blm.gov.

Each year on National Public Lands Day, volunteers, U.S Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management employees take to the river and roads to remove trash and debris. Thousands of pounds of trash are removed from the Trinity River and Highway 299 that follows the water course through BLM land and the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Volunteers are rewarded for their hard work with a barbeque and a prize from a raffle with thousands of dollars in donated items from local businesses.  Some items donated include water bottles, kayak equipment, t-shirts, hand made crafts, movie tickets, sports equipment and more. Each participant also received a NPLD t-shirt.
