National Public Lands Day

Clear Creek Greenway Clean up Day
September 27, 2008

This year, on National Public Lands Day, employees of the Bureau of Land Management and Western Shasta Resource Conservation District, along with members of the Horsetown Clear Creek Preserve and public volunteers, will take to the creek and roads to remove trash and debris.

Last year, thousands of pounds of trash were removed from the Trinity River and Highway 299, which follows the water course through BLM land and the Shasta-Trinity National Forest.

This year, we hope to accomplish even more along the Clear Creek Greenway.

Volunteers are rewarded for their hard work with a delicious barbeque, and each participant also receives a NPLD t-shirt.

See some pictures of previous years' events below.

We hope you can join us on this great day of volunteerism.
