Redding Field Office News and Updates -The Mule Ridge and Princess Ditch Trails are now open. Enjoy over 19 miles of newly constructed single track trail winding through the hills west of Redding. This trail system connects with Whiskeytown NRA and the Swasey Drive Recreation Area. Check out our trails page for more information and a downloadable map. -BLM-Redding is looking for campground hosts for the summer 2013 season. Hosts will be needed at Douglas City, Junction City, and Steel Bridge campgrounds. Contact Bill Kuntz at 530-224-2157 for more information or to apply. -BLM-Redding is now requesting comments on preliminary OHV grant applications The Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Redding Field Office will submit for consideration to the California State Parks, Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Division (OHMVR) a preliminary grants and cooperative agreements application by March 4th, 2013. The field office plans to request funding for the following:
A 30-day public review and comment period will begin on Tuesday March 5, 2013. The project descriptions and cost estimates are available for comment and review from March 5, 2013 through April 1, 2013.
