Bucktail River Access Limited During Construction Beginning July 5


BLM-Redding enters Fire Restrictions


California State Parks Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division (OHMVRD) preliminary grant application:
The Bureau of Land Mangement (BLM), Redding Field Office will submit for consideration to the California State Parks OHMVRD a cooperative assistance agreement preliminary grant application by March 7th, 2016.
The field office plans to request funding for the following:

1.  Law Enforcement: for OHV patrol and education within the Redding Field Office
2.  Ground Operations: for road, trail and facility maintenance at the Chappie-Shasta OHV Area

In addition, a 30-day public review and comment period will begin on Tuesday March 8th, 2016. The project descriptions and cost estimates are available for comment and review from  March 8th, 2016 through April 4th, 2016. Woodcutting is Currently Closed

Woodcutting is currently closed on BLM's Redding Field Office managed lands.  Woodcutting will re-open in the spring.  For more information, or to be put on the alert list for when re-opening occurs, please call 530-224-2150.


Campground Host Positions

BLM-Redding is looking for campground hosts at several campgrounds.  Hosts will be needed at Douglas City, Junction City, Steel Bridge, and Shasta campgrounds.  Contact Bill Kuntz at 530-224-2157 for more information or to apply.
