Off-Highway Vehicle Grant Proposals for 2011 What are OHV Grants? The public is invited to comment on the 2011 applications the BLM has submitted to the California Department of Parks and Recreation, Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Division (OHMVR). The draft 2011 Palm Springs-South Coast Field Office (PSSC) applications will encompass six projects, including law enforcement, facility developments, trails projects, restoration work and other OHV-related projects proposed throughout BLM’s Palm Springs-South Coast area. Beginning March 8 through April 4, 2011, the public may view the applications and make comments online at OHMVR's website at http://ohv.parks.ca.gov Copies are also available in all California BLM field offices, including Barstow, El Centro, Needles, Palm Springs, and Ridgecrest, as well as the BLM California Desert District Office in Moreno Valley. The BLM Palm Springs-South Coast Field Office has scheduled an Open House to obtain public comments on the Off-Highway Vehicle grants being submitted to the California Department of Parks and Recreation Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Division. The Open House will be held at the BLM PSSC Field Office in Palm Springs on Thursday, March 31, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. The Palm Springs Field Office is located at 1201 Bird Center Drive, Palm Springs, CA 92262. Public comment is accepted as part of the grant process for all grants being submitted to California Department of Parks and Recreation by the BLM PSSC Field Office. BLM staff will be available to discuss and provide information specific to the grant applications.
