How to Volunteer
The BLM in California recruits volunteers to assist with the completion of unfunded conservation work that would otherwise go undone. The program provides individuals and community organizations an opportunity to be actively involved in the administration of public lands.

1. How to Volunteer:
To become a volunteer, apply for one of the volunteer opportunities at http://www.volunteer.gov/gov/ and/or complete and submit a Volunteer Application to the office nearest you to help match skills and interest with volunteer opportunities.

and enter the appropriate search information.
The BLM has 16 Field Offices in California. Our location map shows the jurisdiction of each of the Field Offices, as well as address, telephone number, and name of the Field Manager for each office.
2. Who is eligible:
Anyone over the age of 18 years can volunteer. Youths under the age of 18 must volunteer with a parent/guardian or be a part of an organized youth group such as a school, civic, or church group. Youth volunteers must have written parental or guardian consent.

4. Volunteers for the Wild Horse and Burro Program - The Bureau of Land Management’s California Wild Horse and Burro Program have many opportunities for the public to volunteer.
