National Public Lands Day is a nationwide celebration where citizens can show their appreciation for public lands and parks, and lend a hand in improving their condition.  Recently on Saturday October 27, 2012, Fort Ord National Monument volunteers helped to restore and maintain trails, remove noxious weeds, and collecte native seed.
