News to Know . . .

Photo collage of programs and projects managed by BLM's Mother Lode Field Office

The Mother Lode Field Office is directly responsible for the management of approximately 230,000 acres of Public Land scattered throughout fourteen Central California counties. Most of the acreage is within the historic Mother Lode region of the Sierra Nevada Range (with the exception of the Cosumnes River Preserve in southern Sacramento County)

The Mother Lode Field Office boundary stretches from Yuba County (in the north), to Mariposa County (in the south).

Welcome to our first " In the Field " online video. We plan to repeat this feature on occasion, as BLM-California managers introduce public lands that they manage.

Now, let Harry McQuillen introduce you to the Cosumnes River Preserve.
