Project Vitals

Proposed Location: San Bernandino County, 10 miles north of Baker.

Electricity Production Capacity: Up to 200 megawatts on BLM-administered public lands.

Company: Aurora Solar, LLC, a subsidiary of Iberdrola Renewables, Inc.

Acreage: Approximately 7,218 acres.

Status: Application for a proposed solar photovoltaic facility which lies within a variance area, as identified in the BLM Solar Programmatic Environmental Impact Statement (PEIS) Record of Decision Pending determination by the California BLM State Director, as to if the processing of the application is warranted or to deny the application.

Public Comment: News release and publication in local newspaper for a public meeting (Pre-NOI) to be held Thursday, March 27, 2014. Public Comment Period Extended - Comments Now Due May 28, 2014 . Comments submitted after closed of comment period will be considered to the extent practicable.

Electrical Transmission Connection: Unconfirmed proposed generation connection to the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power 287kV Mead-Victorville transmission line.
