Goodwin Education Center. The education center is closed for the season and will re-open on December 4, 2014.

Final Supplementary Rules Press Release. On April 28, 2014 the Final Supplementary Rules for Public Lands Managed by the Carrizo Plain National Monument were published in the Federal Register.

National Public Lands Day Event at Selby Campground on Carrizo Plain National Monument; September 27, 2014 from 9:30am - 2:00pm 

Painted Rock Self-Guided tour season has started. Reservations are required and must be made at www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777 or TDD 1-877-833-6777. (Reservations can not be made at or by contacting the Goodwin Education Center)

Special Recreation Permit (SRP).  Groups visiting Carrizo Plain National Monument may require a SRP.  Please contact our Outdoor Recreation Planner at 661-391-4048 if your group is planning a visit to Carrizo Plain National Monument.
