The Goodwin Education Center will be closed on Sunday, April 20, 2014 and will reopen on Thursday, April 24, 2014.

On Saturday, March 15, 2014, the Monument Advisory Committee met and BLM released the proposed route designations for Carrizo Plain National Monument.  The proposed route designations are part of the Travel Management Plan for CPNM.  We are accepting comments on the proposed designations for a period of 30 days from the MAC meeting, comments must be received by April 14, 2014.

Events

Soda Lake/Painted Rock Guided tours are scheduled every Saturday starting on March 15, 2014 through May 24, 2014.  Tours start at 10:00am and reservations are required and must be made at www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777 or TDD 1-877-833-6777.

The 2014 Saucito Ranch Tour is scheduled for Sunday, April 6, 2014.  The tour starts at 10:00am and reservations are required and must be made at www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777 or TDD 1-877-833-6777. 

Alerts

Goodwin Education Center.  The education center is open Thursday - Sunday from 9am - 4pm, until May 31, 2014 (closed on holidays).

The Painted Rock Self-Guided Tour season has ended.  Self-guided tours will resume on July 16, 2014.

Special Recreation Permit (SRP).  Groups visiting Carrizo Plain National Monument may require a SRP.  Please contact our Outdoor Recreation Planner at 661-391-4048 if your group is planning a visit to Carrizo Plain National Monument.
