National Public Lands Day, is scheduled for September 28, 2013. We are planning to do some work on the trailhead for the Caliente Mountain Ridge Trail. We will post additional information as we finalize the plan for National Public Lands Day.

Painted Rock Self-Guided Tour season will start on July 16, 2013. Reservations are required and must be made at www.recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777 or TDD 1-877-833-6777.
Goodwin Education Center. The education center is closed and will reopen the first week of December 2013.
Travel Management Plan (TMP). We are currently working on a TMP for the monument. If you would like additional information on the plan please contact Ryan Cooper at racooper@blm.gov or John Kelley at jtkelley@blm.gov. You can also review the meeting minutes and powerpoint presentation for the June 30, 2012, Monument Advisory Committee meeting for additional information.
Special Recreation Permit (SRP). Groups visiting Carrizo Plain National Monument may require a SRP. Please contact our Outdoor Recreation Planner at 661-391-4048 if your group is planning a visit to Carrizo Plain National Monument.
