King Range National Conservation Area: Wilderness


King Range National Conservation Area is CLOSED through May 30 to all public access during the search for a triple homicide suspect.

Congress passed the Northern California Coastal Wild Heritage Wilderness Act on October 17,2006.  The act designated 42,585 acres of the King Range National Conservation Area as Wilderness.

The King Range Wilderness and Rocks and Islands Wilderness Management Plan is now available online, please click here to view it.

King Range Wilderness Map - located on the northern California coastline, the map shows the wilderness area boundary and other public lands in the area, along with roads and trails.
