King Range National Conservation Area- Firewood Permits

Firewood Permits:  Firewood permits are being issued for a specially-designated wood cutting areas in the King Range NCA until fire restrictions are put in place next summer.  The permits cost $10 per cord, with a two-cord minimum and a 10-cord maximum.  Cutting live trees or standing dead trees will not be permitted.  Wood cutters' chainsaws must be equipped with spark arresters in good operating condition.  BLM also recommends that wood cutters carry a fully charged fire extinguisher.

Permits are available at the King Range NCA Office and BLM Arcata Field Office.
