Join BLM Geomorphologist Sam Flanangan in a discussion about the landslides across the Headwaters Forest Reserve. Sam has studied both hydrology and geology for the past twenty years. He will give a short talk followed by a mile walk along the Elk River Trail.

Local historian Jerry Rhode will describe his research about Noah Falk, the lumber entrepreneur from the late 1800s. An hour long talk will be followed by a short walk.

Carol De Lorme Larsen is Paiute/Pit River/Chippewa and a tribal member of the Susanville Indian Rancheria. Ross Mackinney has been telling stories and juggling for over 30 years. Ali Freedlund has lived on the North Coast for over 30 years. Many of her stories are a celebration of this beautiful area and the many creatures that live here.

Logging Railroads of Humboldt and Mendocino Counties
