In 2014, the BLM, Humboldt State University and Redwood Parks Association formed a partnership to foster the understanding, enjoyment and stewardship of Headwaters. Check out this press release for more information about the agreement.

As part of this agreement, the BLM's partners created a Friends of Headwaters Facebook Page.

In celebration of Earth Day 2014, the BLM introduced a vintage poster depicting the Headwaters Forest Reserve. Stop by the BLM Arcata Field Office to pick up a free copy!

This poster is part of a series that depicts some of the spectacular landscapes of the BLM's National Conservation Lands. The purpose of the campaign is to highlight these ruggedly beautiful and culturally rich places that belong to all Americans.

Redwood Edventures

 The BLM is part of a partnership called Redwood EdVentures. Key partners include the Humboldt County Office of Education, the US Forest Service, and California State Parks. This group recently updated the BLM's Quest for Headwaters, which provides a great way to explore Headwaters with the whole family. Visit the Redwood EdVentures website to find a Quest near you!

Falk: A Town Disappeared

Check out the new film Falk: A Town Disappeared. This film was produced by Ethan Cardoza, a student in the Humboldt State University Film Program. It provides an excellent overview of the town of Falk and Headwaters.





 Humboldt State University recently finalized a report on a survey of visitors to Headwaters conducted during the summer of 2012.

Join the BLM for an exciting summer lecture series at the Headwaters Education Center, a restored barn that once serviced the former mill town of Falk.
