The Arcata Field Office (AFO) manages approximately 200,000 acres of public land.  Although the majority of these acres are forested, the AFO also includes less abundant ecological types such as coastal prairies, coastal dunes, and serpentine chaparral.  To learn more about restoration work in these areas, select from these links.
