Property Description:
The Siskiyou County WMA Project Boundary encompasses 890,296 acres of land within Siskiyou County, California that fall within the Alturas Field Office boundary. The BLM managed portion of the project area covers 39,388 acres of public land. The vast majority of this property is juniper and sagebrush rangeland. The Lower Klamath National Wildlife Refuge (LKNWR) extends south into the northern limits of this project area. Most of the BLM land in this area lies to the south of the LKNWR and between the towns of Tulelake, California to the east and MacDoel, California to the northwest.
