Distribution: Owens Valley, Inyo County, CA

Habitat: Alkali meadows, near seeps and spring sites at elevations of 3000-4000 feet (1000-1300 m).

Flowering Period: May-June

Similar Plants: Sidalcea covillei is distinguished by its fleshy, simple or clustered roots and open inflorescence, Flowers are pink and crowded along the terminus of the flowering stem.

Status: California State Endangered, California Native Plant Society List 1B
