Distribution: Mono County, CA; Western Nevada

Habitat: Level sites in low sagebrush steppe and pinyon-juniper communities. Associated with red-brown clayey soils at elevations of 5500-8500 feet (1900-2800 m).

Flowering Period: June-July

Similar Plants: Phacelia monoensis shares some morphological characteristics with P. adenophora and P. bicolor var. bicolor. Phacelia monoensis is distinguished from both species by its small (3-4 mm), yellow flowers.

Status: BLM Sensitive, California Native Plant Society List 1B
