Description: Lightly woolly annual herb, 2 - 12 inches (5-30cm) long. Leaves narrowly oblong, 3/8 - 1 3/4 inches (1-4.5cm) long, with smooth or lightly wavy edges. Inflorescence are heads in clusters at the branch tips. The ray flowers have 3-lobed, yellow petals, and the disk flowers are 4-lobed, yellow, and bell-shaped. The fruit are achenes.
Distribution:
Habitat: Sandy or clayey grassland, alkaline plains. Elevation 192 - 2560 feet.
Flowering Period: Blooms February - May.
