Description:

Distribution: Mono County, CA

Habitat: Large, open pumice flats in loose sandy or gravelly soil at elevations of 6500-7500 feet (2000-2600 m).

Flowering Period: June-July

Similar Plants: Lupinus duranii is a very compact, low growing lupine. The inflorescence has many crowded whorls and the petals are violet with smooth banners and keels that are slightly hairy at the margins.
