Description: Perennial herb, low and matted, with stems less than 12 inches (30cm) long. Leaves in whorls of 6, 1/16 - 1/8 inches (1-3mm) long, spear shaped to pear shaped, fleshy, bright green, with rolled down edges, and colorless leaf stalk. Inflorescence is long, leafy, with few flowers. Petals are yellow, green, or pinkish. Fruit is a berry. 

Distribution:

Habitat: Serpenting soil. Closed cone coniferous forest, chaparral. Elevation 1264 - 3120 feet.

Flowering Period: Blooms April - October.
