Description: Deciduous, rounded shrub, 3.3 - 6.6 feet (10-20dm) tall, 3.3 - 8.3 feet (10-25dm) wide. Leaves spear-shaped, 5/8 - 1 1/2 inches long. Inflorescence is cyme-like, and dense. Flower has a white to pink perianth, 1/8 inch (3-4mm) long, with sessile, hairless, 5-toothed involucres, 1/16 inch (1-2mm) long. Fruit is 1/8 inch (2-2.5mm) long.

Distribution:

Habitat: Clay or shale slopes. Elevation 1920 - 3200 feet.

Flowering Period: Blooms July - October.
