Description: Woody, much branched, silvery looking shrub, 1.6-2.6 feet high. Male and female plants separate. Leaves with star-shaped hairs. Leaves narrow, 2-8mm wide, and  1 1/4-1 1/2 inches (2-6.5 cm) long, with smooth edges. Male and female flowers on an unbranched inflorescence (raceme). Lacks petals, but has 5 sepals. Female sepals +/- 2mm and smooth. Fruit is a 3-lobed, round capsule, 3/8 inches tall, and has smooth seeds 2/8 inches long.
