Description: Annual herb 4-28 inches (1-7dm) high, and mildly scented. Leaves yellow-green. Inflorescence are radiate heads, with involucres 3/16 - 5/16 inches (4.5-8mm) high, and the bracts of the flower stems taller than the involucres. The heads contain 9-20 ray flowers with yellow, 2-lobed petals, 1/8 inch (2.5-3mm) long, and 40+ disk flowers. Fruit are achenes.
Distribution:
Habitat: Grassland. Elevation 3.2 - 736 feet.
Flowering Period: Blooms June - November.
