Description: Annual herb without hairs, or lightly hairy. Leaves basal with toothed to wavy edge. Flowers contain 5 sepals 1/4 - 3/4 inches (7-18mm) long, and 8 petals 3/8 - 1 1/4 inches (10-31mm) long. Fruit upright and cylindric, 1/8 - 1/2 inch (4-13cm) long.
Distribution:
Habitat: Pinyon and juniper woodland, valley and foothill grassland. Elevation 256 - 3904 feet.
Flowering Period: Blooms March - May.
