Description: Annual herb 3/8-1 1/8 inches (1-3cm) tall, without hairs. Leaves fleshy, smooth edged, narrow (linear to oblong shape), mostly basal, and 3/16 - 3/8 inch (5-9mm) long. Inflorescence are solitary flowers at ends of stems, 3/8 - 3/4 inches long. Flowers contain 6 white, elliptic petals, each 1/8 inch (3-4mm) long, and 3 sepals. Fruit is a pear-shaped capsule, 1/8 inch (2-2.5mm) long, containing many shiny, brown seeds, 1/4 inch (.6mm) long.

Distribution:

Habitat: Sandy places.

Flowering Period: Blooms March - June.
