Description: Perennial bulbiferous herb. Stem slender, 1 1/8 - 6 inches (3-15cm) tall. Leaves basal, 4 - 8 inches (10-20cm) long. Inflorescence is umbel-like, with 1 - 10 flowers. Flowers are bell-shaped and slightly hairy inside, with sepals 3/8 inch (10mm) long, and petals bluish, spear-shaped, 5/16 - 1/2 inch (8-12mm) long. Fruit is a capsule 3/8 - 5/8 inches (10-15mm) long, with many yellowish seeds.
Distribution:
Habitat: Meadows, open woodlands. Elevation 4800 - 6736 feet.
Flowering Period: Blooms May - June.
