Description: Perennial herb with widely branched, slender stems. Leaf 3/8 - 2 1/8 inches (1-5.5cm) long, with 3-13 crowded, obovate leaflets, 1/8 - 1/2 inches (2-12mm) long. Inflorescence is a raceme with 3-13 flowers. Petals are whitish and lavender veined, with the banner 1/4 - 3/8 inch (5.2-8.5mm) long. Fruit are bladdery, translucent, 3/8 - 3/4 inches (1-2cm) long, and 1/4 - 7/16 inches (6-11mm) wide. 

Distribution:

Habitat: Sandy or rocky soil, often with pines or sagebrush. Elevation 4160 - 5760 feet.

Flowering Period: Blooms May - August.
