Paved Road a Celebration of Partnerships

Approximately 80 people participated in dedication ceremonies to celebrate the paving of Mountain View Road - the entrance to the El Mirage Dry Lake Recreation Area. Linda Hansen, BLM California Desert District Manager recognized and thanked everyone for their hard work, and said the dedication was also a celebration of BLM’s ongoing partnerships with the Counties, California Department of Parks and Recreation Off Highway Motorized Vehicle Division, whose grants made the dedication possible, and Ed Waldheim, President of Friends of El Mirage, who worked many years with BLM and the state to secure the grants.
