Wild horse and burro program rolls into WoodsideThe BLM's Wild Horse and Burro Adoption Program rolled in to the forested hills of Woodside, Calif during the weekend of Oct. 2-3 for an adoption event co-hosted by the Mounted Patrol of San Mateo County. A total of 15 animals were placed in new homes.

to a young gelding after demonstrating gentling techniques. Lesley worked with
several untrained horses through the two days, showing prospective adopters
and horse owners the benefits of using gentling techniques that rely on building
bonds of trust between horse and human.
