Doug Wreden has been with the Bureau of Land Management as a maintainance technician at the Carrizo Plains National Monument for three years .
He is responsible for a wide variety of projects, designing, procurement, building and maintaining, "Whatever it takes to keep the monument operating," Doug says. He was involved in the planning and installation of a solar system at the Washburn administrative site and considers that was one of his more interesting accomplishments.
Before coming to BLM,Doug was a general partner and operator of a family grain and livestock farm for 30 years. During that time he served on many agricultural committees and organizations. Doug is also a graduate of the California Agricultural Leadership Program.
Doug and his wife Cindy have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. They are currently working on finishing a new home.
