I.T. Specialist
Barstow Field Office

"I love going to the field..."

Working as Information Technology Specialist out of the Barstow Field Office, Frank, along with his associate Randy Bales, administers to the computer needs of four satellite offices in addition to the Barstow Field Office.

The BLM is actually Frank's second career.  He is a retired Gunnery Sergeant with the United States Marine Corps, retiring in June of 1993.  Frank has worked in Barstow as Computer Specialist for seven years.

He most enjoys being in the field as a contact representative.  "Working with all the occupational specialties in the Bureau is very challenging," he says.  "I love going to the field, the interaction with the public as a contact representative is something I enjoy the most."

Hailing originally from Oakland, California, this BLM'er now resides in Newberry Springs and is married with no children.  He and his wife enjoy traveling to Smooth Jazz Concerts in their RV when she’s not in the emergency room saving lives as a Registered Nurse.  Frank is also an amateur UFO buff.
