Originally from Palm Desert, California Steve Fornelius now resides there with his wife Susan. He works as an Administrative Officer out of the Palm Springs Field Office and considers himself a "generally useful".
For those unfamiliar with the term it was originally used in traveling carnival shows and circuses. The acts and performers, aside from their main job during performances also had to make themselves "generally useful" to the circus or carnival itself. In the case of these traveling shows that might mean pitching tents or feeding the animals. In Steve's case it means a bit of everything that is required at the Palm Springs Field Office.
Steve brings his prior experience as an Operations Officer with the army, numerous supervisory positions and a wide spectrum of administrative experience to his position with the BLM and he has been with us for about two and a half years. Steve came to us with a B.A. in Biology and post-graduate studies in management. He also holds an M.S. in Medical Technology and is a Certified Document Imagine Architect.
With his wide and experience and broad education, Steve enjoys and is invigorated by a challenge. |
