Surprise Field Office

"I worked with BLM over many years through contracts...and I wanted to work for the agency."

Penni works out of the Surprise Field Office as the Archaeologist, Recreation Planner, and Wilderness Specialist.  She also assists Lori White-Bagnaschi who is the System Administrator for the Alturas and Surprise Field Offices. She works on Archaeology, Recreation, Wilderness and Native American consultation.  Penni had worked with the BLM for many years through contracts and such, and really wanted to work directly for BLM.  Four years ago she reached that particular goal.

Penni holds a Masters in Anthropology and has two children, a son who is ten and a daughter who is eight.

She looks to her children to recharge and enjoys working with all of the programs and resources that exist in the BLM.  She is particularly fond of working with all aspects of the Fire Program, especially in finding ways to protect cultrual resources from natural and human ignited fires.
