EAGLE LAKE INTERAGENCY BOARD MEETS NOV. 1 IN SUSANVILLE
The Eagle Lake Interagency Board
of Directors will discuss a variety of recreation and conservation topics, when
it convenes Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 1:30 p.m., at the Lassen County Board of Supervisors
chambers, 707 Nevada St. in Susanville.
The meeting is open to the public.
Lassen County officials will present a lake level report, discuss Spalding area
access alternatives, and update the board on activities of the Pine Creek Coordinated
Resource Management Planning (CRMP) group.
The Spalding Community Services District will update the board on developments
at the Spalding Marina and parking facility.
Status reports on remodeling of the Merrill Campground, a concessionaire contract,
work on the Spalding Urban Interface area, improvements to the Pine Creek Fish
Trap, an access proposal at the Pine Creek estuary, repairs to the Gallatin
Marina retaining wall and road improvements at the Eagle Campground will be
presented by staff from the Lassen National Forest.
The California Department of Fish and Game will provide information on the Eagle
Lake Fishery Management Plan, and the Bureau of Land Management will provide
a year-end report on visitor use.
The board includes representatives from Lassen County, the Lassen National Forest,
California State Lands Commission, California Department of Fish and Game and
the Bureau of Land Management. Directors meet regularly to share information
and coordinate management actions throughout the Eagle Lake Basin.
