Where: Wind energy farm on Federal lease near the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) Palm Springs Field Office, located at 690 W. Garnet, North Palm Springs.

Editor: Assistant Secretary Rebecca Watson will be briefed by BLM staff in the Palm Springs office at 1:00 p.m. on overall wind energy development in Palm Springs. Local wind energy company representatives also will attend the briefing. Reporters are welcome to attend the briefing.

At 2:00 p.m. Secretary Watson will depart for a tour of a nearby wind energy farm. At 2:30 p.m. Watson will make herself available to the media, and present an overview of the Administration's approach to wind energy development in California.
