Piedras Blancas Light Station Dedication

Who: Bureau of Land Management, Congresswoman Lois Capps, Keynote Speaker-Assistant Secretary of the Interior Lynn Scarlett

What: Dedication of the Piedras Blancas Light Station as a BLM facility

Where: Piedras Blancas Light Station, Highway 1, five miles north of San Simeon

When: Saturday, May 25, 2002, 11 a.m.

Why: To celebrate the history of the Light Station, and recognize the change of jurisdiction from the Coast Guard to the Bureau of Land Management

Editors: There will be a twenty minute press conference beginning at 10:30 a.m. at the light house. In attendance will be:
