News Release For Release: 4-26002 BLM Seeks Nominations for Carrizo Plain Advisory Committee
Nominations are being sought for a local advisory committee on the Carrizo Plain National Monument. The committee will advise the Secretary of the Interior and the Bureau of Land Management on resource management issues at the Monument which sits on the border between San Luis Obispo and Kern counties. The nine member committee will be made up of the following:
Anyone may submit a nomination, which should include a completed nomination form, letters of recommendation from the interests which the nominee seeks to represent, and any other information that would support the qualifications of the nominee. Nominations must be submitted by May 24, 2002, to Ron Fellows, BLM Field Manager, 3801 Pegasus Drive, Bakersfield, CA 93308. Duties of the committee will include:
