BLM PLANS REPAIR PROJECT ON KING RANGE ROAD

Road repair work will be underway during November on the King Range Road in the King Range National Conservation Area.  The project is designed to correct drainage problems and reduce slip-outs.

The Bureau of Land Management said the project could cause delays of up to an hour for people using the road to access the Lightning Trail trailhead.

The work is part of a long-range project to reduce erosion and protect valuable salmon habitat in Honeydew Creek.

Additional information is available from the BLM's Arcata Field Office, (707) 825-2300 or the King Range Project Office (707) 986-5400.
