BLM Doing Road Work in Clear Creek
Repair work on Clear Creek Canyon Road in southern San Benito County began today and will continue until November 22nd. Work is being done on the low-water crossing where the San Benito River crosses the road.
This is the main access to the Clear Creek Management Area, and access will be provided by a short detour immediately upstream of the construction area. While no delays or access restrictions are anticipated, visitors should be aware of the presence of heavy equipment working on this stretch of the county road.
Anyone interested in learning more about the repair work should call project leader Dave Slibsager at the BLM-Hollister Field Office at (831) 630-5040. The Clear Creek Hotline, (831) 630-5060, will be updated as work progresses.
The BLM regrets any inconvenience, but this work is important to providing safe and environmentally sound access to the Clear Creek Management Area.
